FINALLY fall is here!

Waking up to a 58 degree morning felt like Heaven!  This is my absolute favorite time of year and it's here!  Thank God!  We started out the day with a nice run, downtown library storytime, followed by an afternoon playdate at Halie & Keenan's house.  We meet weekly on Tuesdays at various mom's houses for playdates.  It has honestly been such a sanity-saver for me and Hannah (I think) ;)  I have really enjoyed meeting other moms and having similar-aged children has been nice.  It's so funny to see them all interact in their own way.  Tomorrow it's off for some fun zoo time for Hannah's first zoo trip - bring on the 60 degree weather!

First Chuckie Cheese experience

Jack's three year old birthday lead us to a fun-filled afternoon at Chuckie Cheese.  I first thought Hannah was too young to really enjoy it, but she seemed to really take it all in and enjoy herself.  I think after about 30 minutes, adults included, it was plenty though.  She rode on the snail and tiny train, which was too cute.  Sheri ended up taking Hannah for the remainder of the afternoon and we had a nice few hours to ourselves, which we ended up cleaning and organizing, whoo hoo! ;)

I'm a good luck charm!

So the Titan's pulled it out on Sunday, yay!  Needless to say, Hannah was the 'good luck' charm for the team ;)  How about that team spirit!  We also have a Seminoles jersey, of course, for her to wear this season.  Papa John and Gigi thought she was too cute and had to come see her after the game.

Destin Labor Day

OK, so not that great with logging in lately!  Will try better next time.  We recently returned from FL from a very short-notice visit to Destin.  It was a great getaway and ended up seeing dad (he drove over from Palm Coast) so that was nice.  Dad will be undergoing Interferon again to treat his hep C, so we don't know when he will be able to travel again.  Hannah did awesome on this trip.  She really didn't want to sleep too much in the car, but, when she was tired enough she finally conked out!  She loves the pool and can't get enough of it; the ocean did scare her a bit though.  Hannah enjoys sitting and playing with her toys.  Although, she doesn't want to sit too long lately because of wanting to be held lots by mommy :)  She is trying to crawl, although we still think she may skip that all-together straight to walking.

First official post

Well, I've finally given in and started to blog! I feel like everyone's doing it except me. Now that I am a mother, it feels almost like a duty to start one - LOL. I will try to update as much as possible, though to say daily would be a bit over-zealous. Things have been quite busy, of course, with a new child, new house, new life (not working and staying home full-time), etc etc. Although all these are true positives, it seems that change is always a challege; to adapt and to embrace is sometimes the challenge in itself - and to do it all with a smile! Our daughter, Hannah Elizabeth, now 7 months old, is a true blessing & joy in our lives. She keeps us very busy, and gives the definition to truly multi-tasking. Hannah likes to talk all the time, babbles, sits up and reaches for EVERYTHING in sight. She is a champ at nursing, still about 5 times per day, and loves her fruits and veggies. Hannah sleeps very well; usually 12 hours straight throught the night, with 2-3 naps throughout the day. Of course, she recently cut 2 teeth, so that meant LOTS of waking up in the night! We enjoy every minute with our precious daughter and can't imagine life without her and the rest of the clan - Victor, Vincent & Sydney.
